Responding to offers when buying domain names

When you buy a domain name through ITEGY Auctions®, you can submit an offer for a domain name, even if it's below the asking price, as long as it exceeds the minimum offer amount. The seller can accept, counter or decline your offer. In turn, you can accept or decline any counter offer.

Because counter offers are only binding for seven days, you need to respond within seven days, or the offer will expire. If an offer or counter offer is accepted within seven days, the transaction is binding and must be completed.

To Submit a Counter Offer to a Seller

  1. Log in to ITEGY Auctions.
  2. Hover over Bidding List and select Bidding.
  3. Click (# offers) for the domain name.
  4. Click Counter.
  5. In the Counter Offer Amount field, enter the amount you want to offer.
  6. Click Counter Offer.
  7. Read and accept the Terms of Service.
  8. Click Confirm.
  9. Note: After receiving an offer for a domain name, sellers may choose to convert their listing to a 7-Day Public Auction. If this happens, your offer is set as the first bid and the domain name is added to your Bidding List. If you made an offer that was not accepted, the domain name is added to your Watching List.
