About .am Domains

The .am country-code top-level domain name (ccTLD) is an extension that represents Armenia.

Note: Domain names can contain up to 63 characters, with a minimum of three characters, and can contain letters (a to z), numbers (0 to 9), and single hyphens (except at the beginning or end of the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters such as & and #.

2Account change restrictions

When you move the domain name, the registrant's first name, last name, and organization (company name) cannot change.

3Contact updates restrictions

AMNic charges a fee to update the registrant's name or organization. A change of registrant is called a trade. To update the following registrant contact fields for your .am domain name, contact our support team:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Organization (company name)
