About .RED Domain Names

Anyone can register .red domain names on a first-come, first-served basis.

These domain names can have up to 63 characters, with a minimum of one character, and can contain letters (a to z), numbers (0 to 9), and hyphens (except as the first or last characters of the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters such as & and #. IDNs (Internationalized Domain Names) will not be supported at this time.

Note: Premium .red domain names for Afilias will not be supported until they have implemented structure.

The Afilias Registry manages and supports the .red extension.

The new .red domain name is optimized for any creative endeavor associated with the color red.

At this time, we have not set pricing for .red domain names.

You can pre-register a .red domain name for a minimum of one year and a maximum of 10 years.

We'll attempt to auto-renew your .red domain name on its expiration date. We will park .red domain names after the first failed billing attempt. If the domain name isn't renewed within 45 days following expiration, the domain name will be cancelled and removed from your account.

Two nameservers are required for .red domains to resolve, and a maximum of 13 nameservers is allowed. IPv4 and IPv6 are supported.
