503 Service Temporarily Unavailable errors are most often caused by your site having met its maximum concurrent connection (simultaneous visitors) limit. For more information, see How many visitors can view my site at once?
However, you might also experience 503 errors if your hosting account consumes all of its available resources. Depending on the type of hosting account you have (more info), you might be able to do one of the following:
Hosting Type | Do this... |
---|---|
cPanel Linux | End PHP processes |
Plesk Windows | Recycle your application pool |
Web Hosting Linux | End processes using Manage system process (Linux) |
Web Hosting Windows | Recycle your application pool (Windows) |
