Backup FAQs
Website Backup is a service that we are offering to allow our customers to backup your site via FTP or SFTP. Here are some FAQ regarding this service.
Q: I have changed my FTP password, now backups are failing.
Answer: Just update your FTP password in your backups dashboard.
Q: Is there a size limit to the backups?
Answer: We have a size limit of 4GB per file.
Q: How does the backup process work?
Answer: When you first sign up for website backups, we make a complete backup of your website. After that, we identify new and changed files on a daily basis, and only backup those incremental changes to create your full daily backup.
Q: Can I use Website Backup if my website is hosted with a company outside of ITEGY?
Answer: Yes. You will need to provide your FTP information, but we can backup your website when it is hosted elsewhere.
