Edit header and footer text in WordPress
You can use the default WordPress editor to edit text on the page, such as the site header. This also enables you to edit contact details or social links when they are present in the footer.
- Open WordPress Editor.
- Click Widgets on the left, then click on the section that contains the text you want to edit, as follows:
- Header text: Click on Hero link.
The menu on the left will display the current Hero Text.
- Footer text: Depending on the template, click on the appropriate Footer link.
Most templates have more than one footer link, and the options that are available will differ based on the template selected.
Note: Common footer sections include contact information, social links, and newsletter subscription.
- Make the appropriate changes to the available fields, and then click Save & Publish.
